Hello podcasters. This is Ron your host, and tonight we have a new family podcast member, Sandy Johnson. Hey Sandy, Hey Sandy, Hey I just want to- I want to say that Sandy and I have know each other for - ah - decades. Many decades, and I’m telling you she is an incredible woman of God and she really has something to share.

I’m anticipating the participation of her and the continued participation of Laurie and if Jim decides to come on, and then with him also. The family is growing and I’m very excited about it.

Well family, sounds like we’re ready to go. Let’s dive into the flow of the Holy Spirit.

Allan: 1:46

“If a brother or sister without clothing and in need of daily food, and if one of you says to them, go in peace, be warmed and be filled, and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is it?” It is like saying, bless you begone you know, we love you. Take a hike. There is an expression God so loved the whole world. Christ when He moved around, He was moved with compassion for somebody. When we see a need, we should address it. Don’t just boy I hope someone comes and gives you a five-dollar bill, so you can go to McDonalds and have a lunch. NO, find what the real need is and let’s find a way to support that need. What you did to the littlest, least of these my brethren you did it to Me. When did we visit you in jail? When did we give you clothes’? When you did it to the least of these.” That’s faith is seeing a need and addressing it. Now we have heard the term infinitum. God loves you, okay. You know what; it’s God through me loves you and here’s His expression of how He loves you. I carry Him with me where ever I go and so I want people to be introduced to who the father is because I care enough to address the situation. That someone is in need that you can help. If you can’t help ask the Lord to show you. Is there a means, is there some other place? Take them to the grocery store and buy them twenty bucks of groceries or something. It’s that giving, it the making things alive for someone else. Our heart can reach out to so many just because we take compassion on someone and address a need that they have.

Dale: 3:53

What makes that work Allan is: “Judge not lest you be judged.” Because who are we to come up to a situation and judge it and then act accordingly. Our responsibility is to come and give of ourselves. Without predetermining what is needed, because the Holy Spirit is will lead us. The Holy Spirit will fill our mouths, our hearts. We humble ourselves and that lets God come through. You know, how do we know? The things that are happening in people’s lives this can be God dealing with them. We don’t want to mess with that. We don’t want to say, oh you need to do this and you need to repent here and repent there. We just want them to open their heart to the Holy Spirit. Open their heart to the Father and let God minister to them.

Deborah: 4:58

I think we have to be led of the Holy Spirit then we will do the things that God has for us to do. If we start out our day asking for the Holy Spirit to lead us, to direct us then we are going to be led of the Spirit to those that the Lord has prepared.

Allan: 5:18

You know it is interesting you say that because I kind ‘a take what Smith Wigglesworth brought out once. And He said, if I am out in town and I see a need I am headed over that way and God better meet me there because I going in His name.

Deborah: 5:36

Because he was a man of the Holy Spirit, right?

Allan: 5:40

He did not care if he was led to go talk to that person or not. He went to that person.

Deborah: 5:45

But if I start out my day, believing to be led of the Holy Spirit then I am believing that whatever I come across that is going to be led of the Holy Spirit. I agree with you I see a need and I am going to minister to them and believe for the Holy Spirit and the Lord to be there. Because I am there.

Laurie: 6:05

Yeah, I had a couple of experiences I wanted to share. Many years ago, I went with my daughter to go see my dad and step mom. They were elderly and the place was a mess. I mean there was knee deep trash in the little bathroom, and you know the kitchen and everything and so, my daughter and I started cleaning and got the place back in shape. When we were leaving my dad looked at me and said, you know you guys didn’t just come here. You brought something with you. I had similar experience when I retired I had to do an exit interview with the director of engineering. She was talking to me and stuff, she says, you know you brought something here. Brought something with you and I think that people who are sensitive are going to see the Lord, and who you are. It’s not that your, you know was I perfect there? No but it just comes through. People know, it is not just you. You’re bringing the Lord with you.

Sandy: 7:21

I do feel like there are times when the Holy Spirit does specifically lead a person. I have been finding that more and more and you can confirm to yourself that it was the Holy Spirit when you see the results. When the Lord leads you to talk to a person in a restaurant or just Sunday morning during the meet and greet that we had. The Holy Spirit led me to this person who had been to this service several times but I had never talked to her before. And I went over there and by the time we were done she was balling on my shoulders. That wasn’t me that was the Holy Spirit and I think as we keep opening our hearts to the Holy Spirit. But it was because I knew that the Holy Spirit was leading me. Yeah definitely you go there and you expect the Holy Spirit to be there but there are those times when the Holy Spirit is specifically leading you. And what the human wants to do is to ignore it because you don’t want to interfere with that person. But it is the Holy Spirit.

Allan: 8:29

I think you are talking a lot about awareness. You can be in a crowd and like Christ right when the woman touched His garment. Who touched me? Because He was aware of what was going on around Him. And what your talking about is an awareness. Holy Spirit you want to you want to minister to somebody, where, who?

Sandy: 8:49

Which one of these people

Allan: 8:51

Keep your radar open and you know you could be in the midst of a crowd talking then you just know. I need to go over here. I have left the middle of a conversation with someone to go meet somebody. And boy like you say the results, man people open up and there are people that I really don’t want to listen to but at the same time who are they going to talk to? There are people who have issues because nobody wants to hear their story. And sometimes you have to sit on a park bench and just let them talk. It will free somebody and that is everything and like you said but I just want to go back to that awareness. It’s being aware of where you are being led and it’s like almost like what I am saying with what Smith did is sometimes you create; it is your initiative; Father I know the word and I am going to execute your word in this situation. Better meet me there because it is your word. Can the Lord minister to that person? Of course, He can. Well are they open? Let’s find out.

Dale::

It’s one of the things that makes walking with God so exciting. Because one minute your kind of just floating along or whatever and the Holy Spirit will lead you to a person. Will lead you to a place. And then there is those times where you just knew what to do. Because there is an awareness and I would say there is something working in you. Things that are established. You don’t stop and think to breathe and I think the more we walk with God the more His nature is imparted to us that we do things that are automatic. It’s fun to walk with God because we come to the place where we’re willing to do what it takes.

Allan::

You know I take it back again to what Sandy was talking about and I love it. Because honestly, and we have talked about this before, when Jesus received the Spirit He was compelled. He wasn’t led by the Spirit, He was compelled by the Spirit. He was driven into the wilderness. You minister and you let God do it. You plant the seed and let God give the increase.

Laurie::

You know it’s; this conversation is creating such excitement in me. And I wanted everyone to know that everyone, no matter how old you are in the Lord has something to give. And that if you can approach this in your life where you know say you are going to a Sunday service, you ask the Lord well what can I do? Who do you want me to meet and bless, show me you know. If you can go with a servant’s heart to give. Everywhere you go I think that will create something. You’ll grow and develop.

Allan::

What’s one of the key gifts of the spirit? Kindness, if you simply show kindness your expressing the Lord to that person.

Ron::

When did we visit you in jail? when did we give you clothing? When you did it to the least of these... That’s faith!

Just saying we love someone and wishing them well isn’t what we are called to do. There must be an action of faith to express our love and concern for our neighbor.
